Capable of running up to 5 tests on one alkaline battery LCD clock. Automatic polarization allows battery installation in either direction without damage to electronics. Automatic shut-off feature minimizes wear on recorder components. Internal self-test: audible tone signals if battery is suitable for 24 hour use and internal timing signals are functioning properly.
